Tim, been having trouble getting a good clear sound with my video equipment. I have a good camera, a sony 4K res camera, and some good mics,
visually good, but sound-wise not so much. What kind of gear do you use to capture the sound when doing videos? much thanks.

Hi bobdullam,
For the talking and teaching/playing sections I have a room mic that is placed right above my head, out of the camera view. I have monitor wedges that provide the guitar sound with a Fractal AX8. The monitors and my voice blend together for the audio. The important factor is to use the microphone audio only, and mute the camera audio.
For the playing plus backing tracks, everything is DI into Logic 10. I either use the Fractal AX8 or Amplitube 4 software for that.
