Hey tim-

I haven’t had the chance to catch you live and hear your tone in person but it’s rediculously good on every recording I’ve heard.

Do ur amps have a lot of clean headroom? I often encounter situations where it just gets loud and I have to crank my amp. And there’s not a chance of getting any clean tone when that happens.

Wondering how to keep a clean tone and stay up in the mix live but keep that sustain from the amp compressing?

Hi Mark,
I like to have a lot of headroom when I play live. That works the best for me. These days I have been gigging with the Fractal system through QSC full range monitors. It has a enough headroom to fill a room. With tube amps, I like to use 30-50-or 100 watt amps. Anything lower than that can tend to break up or compress too much on the clean tone.
