This week’s lesson focuses on developing chord vocabulary for the Lydian b7 sound, or Dom7#11 chord. Having a variety of voicings for each chord type is a great way to improve your comping and composing. This video lesson highlights some of the most useful voicings that every modern guitarist should have to create a solid foundation.
Enjoy the new material!

thanks for this cool lesson, it always inspires me to see and hear things in a new way. this week I discovered that when I looked at the first C13#11 voicing, that it is a Bbmajor 7#5, whose third is changed to a ninth (d to c) so I checked out the drop 3 and drop 2 voicings for Bbmajor 7#5, changed the d to c and found alot of useful voicings for C13#11, which resolve to a Fmajor 7 #5, where I did the same trick in changing the A to G. (3to 9). this keeps me,my brain and my fingers busy for this week.
